Pedal through the petals! Join us for the Ride of Flowers, a leisurely, family-friendly community bike ride celebrating the beautiful public gardens, vibrant floral displays, and excellent cycling infrastructure right here in Westfield.
Whether you are a daily commuter, a weekend trail rider, or just love being surrounded by summer blooms, this ride is for you. We will take a scenic, relaxed route utilizing Westfield’s extensive network of shared-use paths and dedicated bike lanes, making for a safe, smooth, and comfortable ride for cyclists of all ages and ability levels.Both standard and pedal-assist electric bicycles are welcome, and helmets are recommended for all riders, required for riders 16 years old and younger.
What to Expect
Blossoms & Bouquets: We will be making several short, curated stops at some of Westfield's most beautiful public flower gardens and community green spaces. Bring a camera or smartphone—there will be plenty of gorgeous photo ops!
A Smooth, Safe Route: Experience firsthand how easy it is to navigate Westfield on two wheels. Our route specifically showcases the city's growing infrastructure, maximizing time on our beautiful shared-use paths and bike lanes.
Community Connection: Meet fellow local riders, garden enthusiasts, and neighbors who share a love for fresh air and vibrant community spaces.
Pace & Distance: Casual, "no-drop" pace (approx. 10 mph) covering roughly 10 miles.
This event is completely FREE and open to the public, but pre-registering here helps us get an accurate headcount for our garden partners.
